NAHM, the design duo comprised of Tommy Hilfiger‘s daughter Alexandria Hilfiger and business partner Nary Manivong, has just announced that they’ve come to the end of the road and will be halting operations.
The two released a joint statement about the line’s abrupt shutdown, saying:
“At this time, we are parting ways and this will conclude the production of our line NAHM. We both believe this was an amazing experience and will continue to be supportive of each other personally and professionally.”
The news comes as a surprise to many, but it was foreshadowed by the sudden cancellation of the label’s spring 2013 show, which was scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday at Milk Studios. The collection was supposedly already finished, so it was clear that something was amiss.
The line was sold both in the U.S. and abroad, mostly at select specialty stores. Hilfiger and Manivong were named rising star finalists in women’s ready-to-wear by The Fashion Group International in January. We’re sorry to see them go!
