It’s not every night that we get to watch Naomi Campbell on television, and while she didn’t bring a sweet gift or trade nail art tips, we’ll take what we can get. The super stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in an Alexander McQueen pre-fall 2013 dress yesterday to chat about her early days doing music videos, and making the switch from being in front of the camera to behind it as executive producer of The Face.
Fallon, who admits he’s intimidated to speak with Campbell (“Because I look like this, and you look like that!”), brings up an old photo of the model on the set of a Bob Marley music video. She explains that she “passed out” because she was partying. Well, we find that one incredibly hard to believe — she was probably five or six years old in the shot!
Campbell also reveals that it took her 12 years to agree to do a television show because she was afraid, even though she has absolutely nothing to be afraid of. Just look at those cheekbones and that silky hair! After Campbell explains The Face to the audience, Fallon shows an awesome clip of the model bitching out fellow mentor Karolina Kurkova and scaring the eyeshadow off of Coco Rocha. All in a day’s work.
