Nasty Gal‘s founder and CEO Sophia Amoruso is pretty awesome, and apparently, the publishers at Penguin Random House know it. The incredibly successful business woman is releasing a book, called #GirlBoss: How to Write Your Own Rules While Turning Heads and Turning Profits.
Surprisingly, though, it won’t be about style. Instead, the book will focus more on Amoruso’s life story: how she’s created a sartorial empire despite her lack of a college education, and how Nasty Gal had transformed from a tiny online eBay store to the site we all spend too much time on today.
Despite its humble birth, Nasty Gal is currently a “$100 million-plus retail enterprise that employs 350 people and has more than 2.5 million followers across social media.”
Fortunately, the book will also be chock full of personal tips from Amoruso:
“I have three pieces of advice I want you to remember: Don’t ever grow up. Don’t become a bore. Don’t let the Man get to you. OK? Cool. Then let’s do this.”
Something tells us this isn’t going to be your typical business book, and according to Amoruso, “It’s the business book for the girl who didn’t go to an Ivy League school, and is somewhat of a life bible for every girl.”
The book comes out next May, and we look forward to putting it at the top of our summer reading lists.
