Even if their premiere looks sometimes left us feeling somewhat cold or confused, we were almost starting to miss the days when we’d see the Les Misérables girls everywhere during their whirlwind publicity tour.
But, of course, with award show season just getting started — catching The People’s Choice Awards tonight? We are! — we’ll be seeing their familiar faces on the red carpet plenty of times in the next few weeks. Yesterday, they joined a slew of stars at the National Board Of Review Awards in New York City, breaking out the designer duds for a night on the town.
Amanda Seyfried wore a peach Bottega Veneta frock with a high neck and mid-calf hem, which may have looked dowdy were it not for the strips of studded snakeskin. The dress could have been a few inches shorter, but we’ll give her points for adding a bit of an edge with her berry lip and Alexandre Birman sandals. Anne Hathaway, meanwhile, wore a look from Hedi Slimane‘s spring Saint Laurent collection, and we have to say this may be the first red carpet ensemble we’ve seen on her that we’ve unequivocally loved. The menswear-inspired three-piece suit goes perfectly with her side-swept pixie cut, and the Givenchy sandals showed off her dark polish.
See these ensembles, plus Emily Blunt‘s minimalist Emilio Pucci and Jessica Chastain yawn-worthy Alexander McQueen in the gallery below:
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
