We don’t know about you, but nothing makes us feel better about shopping than when we’re shopping with a company that tries to effect social good. Nordstrom caught on to this phenomenon back in 2012, when it issued a statement in support of gay marriage, and now the retail chain has followed up its words with some visuals: a warm and fuzzy wedding video featuring both heterosexual and same-sex couples feting their big days.
Said the company in last year’s statement:
“It is our belief that our gay and lesbian employees are entitled to the same rights and protections marriage provides under the law as our other employees. We also believe supporting freedom to marry will help us create a more attractive and inclusive workplace for our current and prospective employees.”
Yup, pretty much a no-brainer.
And the tunes are provided by none other than our not-so-secret crushes Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (both big proponents of LGBT rights), so add that to the list of reasons we’re into it.
Watch the full clip below, for lots of champagne, rose petals, and some adorable raise-the-roof action. We’re pretty sure you’ll agree with us that this is one party to which we’d quite like an invite.
