In case Lady Gaga wasn’t already in the running to be this year’s most popular Halloween costume, a steakhouse in New York’s Meatpacking District is jumping on the bandwagon with their very own 112-pound meat dress, complete with marrow bone necklace and headdress.
According to Marc Sherry, the owner of Old Homestead steakhouse, Lady Gaga’s meat dress — which was designed by Frank Fernadez and made up entirely of flank steaks — was “very tacky.” Homestead’s meat dress, Sherry contends, will be “a cut above.” Additionally, their meat dress comes with “a designer goody bag stuffed with filet mignon, chocolate sauce, kobe burgers and candy corn” and “can actually be eaten, with cooks from the 142-year-old restaurant set to do the carving and offering recipe ideas.”
All of which makes the $100,000 price tag and the fact that you’re, you know, wearing a meat dress totally worth it.
