The age of innocence is dead

There is a lot of controversy surrounding child pageants. People are obsessed with them. After all, there isn’t just Toddlers in Tiaras. There’s also a show dedicated to one of their craziest contestants — Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo. It’s no wonder moms are convinced that their daughter will be launched to stardom, if only she could do something to out-crazy the other pageant contestants. Which is saying something, because they’re going to have to outdo English speaking people who need subtitles:
Well, a pageant mom from England officially passed the tip of the crazy iceberg and got right down to its core. How? She took her 4-year-old daughter, Scarlett, and put her in a hand made Hooters outfit.
You know, maybe there’s a reason that there are no Hooters outfits small enough to fit a person who barely knows her alphabet. Or even has hooters.
Leann, the 4 -year-old’s mother, argues that “at the end of the day, little girls wear swimming costumes to the beach all summer.” Okay, that’s true. But those swimsuits usually don’t say Hooters on them. And those kids aren’t doing sexual dance moves that were choreographed for them by their mother. How sexual? Try DRY HUMPING. DRY. HUMPING. Check out 2:20 in this video.
Even if Scarlett enjoyed doing pageants, she still has no idea that her sexuality is being manipulated for the sake of a contest. Why can’t kids just be kids? In the pageant world, the window of innocence for children is getting smaller and smaller. Apparently, for Scarlett’s mother, that window closes at age 4.
