Who needs to look good on paper when you can look this good in it? In a gorgeous editorial called “Limited Paper”, photographer Iban Montero showcases the unlikely elegance that an office supply can exude when crafted into dresses worthy of Monsieur Christian Dior himself.
Sticking with the ’50s theme, Montero channels Richard Avedon’s legendary prowess with the studio shoot, capturing model Natalia Iturregui as she lends movement and grace to a material generally considered stiff and inflexible. The creations, by stylist and designer Ane Lopez, range from a strapless dress with darts at the bust and a ruffle at the waist, to a Frank Gehry-esque sculpted chapeaux, and if they weren’t comfortable, you’d hardly know it.
If we were guaranteed results like these, we’d be more than happy to risk the paper cuts:
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
