Today Paul McCartney married his girlfriend Nancy Shevell at the Old Marylebone Town Hall in London. But what did they wear?! Stella McCartney, duh.
Stella designed a long-sleeved white dress that hit just above the knee and involved a whole bunch of buttons for her new stepmom, as well as a navy suit for her dad. This stands in contrast to Paul’s 2002 wedding to Heather Mills, in which the bride wore a dress by Caroline Eavis and Annie Brown. Eavis and Brown claimed Mills took credit for designing the dress, which they gave her for free in exchange for publicity they never received. (It’s no surprise Stella didn’t design Mills’s gown — she was never a fan of her one-time stepmother.)
During the ceremony Paul gave Shevell a platinum Neil Lane wedding band with 5 carats of square-cut diamonds to go with her Neil Lane art deco engagement ring. And in case you were wondering, guests included Shevell’s cousin Barbara Walters (!), and the dinner reception was strictly vegetarian.
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
