After an 18 year hiatus from the pages of Vogue, fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh has finally returned. Following a conversation with Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington earlier this year, Lindbergh simply couldn’t refuse their request for him to return to Conde Nast. “They asked,” he told WWD. “It was like you are the black sheep in the family, and your older brother asks you to come home.”
And come home Lindbergh has, with a spread as lengthy as his time away from Vogue. That’s right. Lindbergh is giving us 18 full pages of fashion photography brilliance — with Natalia Vodianova and Ewan Macgregor nonetheless. And while some are finding the shoot a bit too reminiscent of Steven Klein‘s Brangelina Domestic Bliss W photo shoot from 2005, you won’t find any complaints from us.
It’s a simple equation, we think. Peter Lindbergh + Natalia Vodianova + Grace Coddington = 18 pages of pure genius.
