Former Prada Japan Manager Loses Harassment Suit

After a lengthy legal battle, ex-Prada Japan retail manager Rina Bovrisse has seen the case that she filed against her former employer rejected by a Tokyo District Court.

Back in March 2010, Bovrisse accused the luxury retail giant and its notorious CEO Davide Sesia of ordering her to “eliminate” any employees that were “old, fat, disgusting, or [didn't have] the Prada look.” Prada responded shortly thereafter, arguing that “Ms. Bovrisee’s accusations regarding an alleged misconduct of the company towards her have no ground.”

And according to a report in WWD today, the courts agree. But that doesn’t mean the fight is over yet — Prada has a countersuit in the pipeline alleging false statements and Bovrisse is “considering her options for appeal.”
