Everyone can rejoice: Kate Middleton is “responding well to treatment” and is “feeling better” after her second day in King Edward VII Hospital. And Prince William finally cracked a smile!
Kate is currently suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum, which is a more extreme case of morning sickness, and has been in the hospital since Monday afternoon. Now, things are looking up for the royal parents-to-be. The Daily Mail reports that Kate will have to spend the next few days in the hospital to rest up and that she’ll most likely continue to experience severe vomiting throughout the pregnancy, but there is no real danger. The mom and baby are also in the hands of Alan Farthing, who will oversee the pregnancy, and gynecologist Marcus Setchell, who’s been Queen Elizabeth‘s surgeon for two decades and her former gynecologist.
A spokesman said:
“The Duchess of Cambridge is continuing to feel better. She and the Duke are immensely grateful for the good wishes they have received. She will remain in hospital at present and will continue to be treated for Hyperemesis Gravidarum.”
Wills visited to the hospital around 11:30 GMT this morning with a grim face and, but by the time he left around 17:45 GMT tonight, he was all smiles. Happy happy joy joy!
