As far as we’re concerned, the more Raf Simons gets his hands on, the better. So we were excited to learn that the Dior designer will be behind the costumes for Sigourney Weaver and Isabelle Huppert‘s upcoming film, Body Art.
Both actresses sat front row at Monday’s Dior couture show in Paris, and Weaver told WWD that Simons had signed on to dress both of their characters. “Isabelle plays a body artist. I play a journalist like you, so I’m studying you. What are you wearing?” she asked.
This isn’t the designer’s first foray into film costuming, however. He also worked with Body Art director Luca Guadagnino in 2009 on the movie I Am Love, designing the costumes for lead Tilda Swinton. The head designer for that film, Antonella Cannarozzi, earned an Oscar nom for her work, so clearly Simons knows how to make outfits that work on screen. Plus, if the beauty looks from his last two shows are any indication, body art is right up his alley.
