Last night’s red carpets brought sheer shirts, ill-advised jumpsuits, and tragic floral muumuus. Need some tips on what not to wear this weekend? Here are some pretty good ideas.
Let’s start with Kristen Wiig. She rocked a floral sack dress in lurid, Floridian pastels paired with pointy-toed, sparkly, possibly-denim stilettos, and a messy top knot. Nothing good could ever come of a description like that. We know critics (ourselves included) are always on her back to take a step away from the neutrals she wears so often, but this is a big step in the wrong direction.
Also in Las Vegas for CinemaCon, Hailee Steinfeld and Sandra Bullock missed the mark, too, although not quite so dramatically as their granny-fied friend. Steinfeld’s navy Valentino jumpsuit and heavy eye makeup were too stuffy for the 16-year-old, while Bullock’s matching Roland Mouret getup was in need of some serious tailoring.
We know Brits like skin, skin, and more skin at their movie premieres, but it looked like the see-through shirt Samantha Barks wore to the Iron Man: 3 red carpet wasn’t quite intentional. Whoops. Kelly Rowland, meanwhile, definitely meant to show off her bra at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony — too bad she and fellow Destiny’s Child alum Michelle Williams alum looked ready for the Oscars while fellow attendees rolled up in jeans.
And, last but not least, Cindy Crawford. Now, her getup wasn’t offensive, but she did look a little like the hottest new member of Real Housewives of New Jersey.

this is some kind of spaceship or something.
