So many fancy red carpets last night! Blake Lively, Salma Hayek, and more attended the premiere of Savages in Los Angeles, while Elizabeth Banks and Coco Rocha showed up at the screening of People Like Us and Tika Sumpter graced the red carpet for the premiere of Madea’s Witness Protection in New York. But which coast had the best dressed lady? Let’s dissect the looks.
Lively looked lovely in Zuhair Murad couture. The nude gown fit her fetching frame perfectly, and the black stripes were eye-catching. We’re glad she ditched her signature beachy locks for more refined curls — and her fire engine red lips and nails? Perfection. Hayek also looked stunning in a sequined emerald green Gucci dress, smartly opting for minimal accessories. As much as we like her fuss-free ponytail, we wish she did something more glamorous with her strands.
Over in New York, Banks glittered in an embellished nude Elie Saab dress. We dig the mock turtleneck, but the accessories are too matchy-matchy. Conversely, Rocha took a more casual route with an ivory button-down and red wide-legged trousers. The look was sleek, but we think it was a bit too casual for the event.
At the premiere of Madea’s Witness Protection, Sumpter donned the same Stella McCartney frock that everyone else has already worn. We like the dress, but we’re sick of it! Sumpter also wore insanely high platforms — how did that girl walk?!
So now that we’ve picked apart the ensembles, tell us which coast had the best dressed lady:
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
