Exposed Nips, Prom Shoes, And JT On Last Night’s Red Carpets

California and London hosted some star-studded red carpets last night. New York was out of the game, but judging from the red carpet fashions, the city wasn’t missing much. Sure, Justin Timberlake may have showed everyone up at his own “20/20″ release party in L.A., and Angela Bassett nailed it over in Hollywood, but well, that was about it. Let’s dissect some of the looks, shall we?

As much as we’d tried to find a solo snap of Timberlake,  it seemed like Ryan Seacrest was just joined at the hip with the star — the two were literally inseparable on the red carpet. Nonetheless, the “Suit & Tie” singer showed up in — what else? — a fancy, fitted, and fine ensemble complete with a tie clip, pocketsquare, and two-toned shoes. It’s all in the details, you guys. Nikki Reed looked pulled together into a slightly sheer white blouse, black leather-esque leggings, matching pumps, and a bright turquoise clutch. We’re into the cool and casual look, but we’re also really into that perfectly tousled hair. Brownie points to Reed. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for Emmy Rossum, whose look is just confusing. Her white and green frock was indeed pretty, but just not right for the laid-back event. It’d be right at home for a luncheon or tea party, but seemed too stuffy to fête Timberlake’s new record.

Meanwhile, over at the premiere of Olympus Has Fallen in Hollywood, Bassett nailed it in a strapless yellow frock that was equal parts fun and sexy. But we wished she wore different shoes! Those metallic silver heels remind us of our old school prom shoes, and they were not good. Ashley Judd, on the other hand, chose a bright bandage dress that just made us cringe. Yes, she looks fantastic, but we’re so over the bandage dress. What is this, 2009?

And last but not least, as we’ve seen time and time again, the easiest way to make a statement on the red carpet is by not wearing undergarments. Rebecca Ferdinando, who we didn’t know and had to Google, showed up to the premiere of G.I. Joe: Retaliation in London in a fitted salmon sheath dress. But the only thing we saw were her nips — someone get the lady a bra, please.

See those looks and more in the gallery, and catch a trailer of Olympus Has Fallen below. Chime in on who you think was best dressed — anyone?
