Mark your calendars, folks. After months of anticipation and speculation, we now actually know when Rihanna’s fashion show Styled to Rock will grace our American televisions. The series, which will pit 12 designers against each other in challenges that involve dressing top-name celebrities, finally premieres November 5 at 8pm EST.
We’re pumped about the show’s premiere, and for many reasons. Firstly, we know the show had incredibly poor ratings in its U.K. iteration, and so we’re naturally curious about how it will fare this side of the pond. We also know that the series, in addition to being produced by Bad Gal RiRi herself, will feature Pharrell Williams, free-spirited model Erin Wasson, and Rihanna’s own stylist Mel Ottenberg, who will all serve as mentors to the budding designers.
With that kind of star power, we’re optimistic for the show’s future, and not just because we have a crush on Pharrell. We think the show has real potential, and especially given that the grand prize is $100,000 and a fashion spread in Glamour, the competition might be more fierce than America’s Next Top Model.
