Last night Cory Monteith passed away, and we are all shocked and saddened by this tragedy. He was 31 years old.
The Glee star, who played the handsome and talented Finn Hudson on the show, was found dead by staff members in his hotel room in Vancouver, British Columbia after he missed his check out time. Police reports cite no overt cause of death and no foul play is suspected. Apparently security cameras show that last night after partying with friends, he returned to his room alone. An autopsy will be conducted Monday to find out exactly what happened.
Monteith had openly admitted in the past that he struggled with serious addictions, and that he had started doing drug at the age of 13. When he was 19 years old, he went to rehab, and earlier this year he voluntarily returned there to get help again. It looked like things were looking up for the troubled star, and his death at such a young age is incredibly surprising, confusing, and tragic. Our hearts go out to his friends and family members, and of course, to his girlfriend Lea Michele.
