Of Course Roberto Cavalli Designed A Collection For Target Australia

Target sure loves collaborations — its latest is a partnership between Italian designer Roberto Cavalli and Target Australia. But of course.

For the latest Designers for Target collaboration, the retailer and Cavalli teamed up on a collection of daywear, “party pieces”, swimwear, and footwear ranging between $49 and $129. The line will be available in Target Australia stores and online at Target.au.com starting October 31. The ad campaign features Karolina Kurkova, and of course, the first image is of the model in an animal print babydoll frock. Classic Cavalli.

“I’m excited to bring the joyful and positive spirit of my work to a new audience… when I set out to design this collection I had a wonderful party in mind with all women dressed glamorously and sensually. Of course there will be lots of prints as they are a part of my DNA…. My inspiration for prints and for clothes always comes from the wonders of the nature… fantasy, colour and fun!”

We thought the collab was an odd matchup, but as it turns out, Target Australia has worked with Aussie natives, like Alice McCall, Josh Goot, and Tina Kalivas, and internationally renowned designers like Zac Posen and Stella McCartney.
