Roberto Cavalli Blasts Anna Wintour, Vogue, And Louis Vuitton On Twitter

Roberto Cavalli is no stranger to Twitter — he has (as of publishing) posted over 2,500 tweets and has just under 200,000 followers to his name — but over the weekend, the designer went on a bit of a Kanye West-inspired rant, calling out Anna Wintour, Louis Vuitton, and the “fashion mafia system” all in one fell swoop.

In that last tweet, Cavalli appears to be referring to the somewhat unspoken agreement between brands and magazines that advertising begets editorial — we’d be curious to take a look back through past Vogue issues to see if this is, in fact, true. But when all is said and done, our favorite tweet of Cavalli’s was posted a little earlier in the week, and serves as a delightful example of the way in which social media really breaks down the walls between designers and consumers.
