Rosie Huntington-Whiteley reportedly backed out of negotiations for a potential Project Runway: All Stars hosting gig just days before filming started. Not cool, girl.
According to Page Six, Huntington-Whitely was nearing the end of negotiations for the hosting post, but was casted in Mad Max: Fury Road alongside Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy, and had to fly out to Namibia. A source explains:
“Literally days before filming, the show suddenly had no host. Rosie had been pushing really hard for the job. She’d charmed everyone. But then with less than three weeks to go, Rosie pulled out to do Mad Max, creating a huge drama. It put the production in a terrible position, and the Weinstein Co. even threatened to sue Rosie.”
Project Runway‘s producers at the Weinstein Company quickly auditioned Karolina Kurkova, Hilary Rhoda, Elaine Irwin, and Rachel Roy to take over as host, and finally found a perfect replacement in Carolyn Murphy.
“Everyone expected Katie to cancel, but she didn’t. She’s friendly and professional but didn’t say a word about her divorce.”
