Okay, we’re officially declaring June “British Hat Month”. Hats, hats, hats. Today marked the first day of the Royal Ascot, one of Britain’s most prestigious horse races. And let’s be real, there’s really no more hat-appropriate event than a horse race.
The royals — Queen Elizabeth and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, among them — went for comparatively subdued headwear, while the other guests wore some of the most amazing we’ve ever seen. So many flowers! Like, was there a flower theme? Were people told that flower hats were mandatory? Or is it just a coincidence that so many ladies wore awesome floral chapeaux? Whatever the reason, we’re digging the festive look.
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
