Guess How Much Kate’s Royal Wedding Dress Exhibit Made?

The dress that turned Kate Middleton into Duchess Catherine was on display for just 10 weeks, and was seen by more than 600,000 people at £17.50 a ticket. So, how much money did it net? Math time!

Did you get £10.5 million? (If so, did you pull out your calculator, or are you just really good at mental math?) Either way, this means that the exhibit made over $16 million on tickets alone. Buckingham Palace has yet to release exact figures, but we’re assuming quite a pretty penny was also made through gift shop sales. The money will be split between charities of Kate’s choice and the maintenance of the Royal Collection.

Bummed you didn’t get to see the Alexander McQueen by Sarah Burton dress IRL? Even though the exhibit was extended an extra two weeks, the dress won’t go on display again for quite some time. Sigh.
