There are two reasons we don’t like the cover of the October issue of Vogue with Sandra Bullock.
1. She has a mullet. We’re all for retro hair, and we love it when celebs opt for unexpected short cut, but this is a bit much. It’s not even that we’re staunchly against mullets for some fundamental reason – we can admit there have been a few beautiful mullets in the history of the world. But this one feels off, especially with how volumized the top is. You can see where individual strands have been teased up (like on the top right) and the whole thing is distracting.
2. The dress. Bullock is wearing a Marc Jacobs Autumn/Winter dress, which is an interesting and shows off her incredible back. However, we’re a little concerned at how the dress falls on the actress. It only covers half of her shoulder, and you can see the back part of her arm. We appreciate how vampy it is, but it looks like it could fall off at any moment.
We know that despite all this, it’s a stunning shot. Yet given that it’s Sandra Bullock’s fifth Vogue cover, we were expecting something a little less…weird.
