We love when Scott Schuman adds a good editorial along with his brilliant street style photos. And we love it even more when mainstream fashion publications, especially magazines, show their respect for the modern day editors: the bloggers, the street photographers.
After spending time with Schuman and Garance Doré, Italian fashion director Giovanna Battaglia came up with an idea for a photo shoot for Vogue Pelle. Schuman describes the genesis as follows:
Giovanna Battaglia (Fashion Director of Vogue Pelle and Sartorialist Super-All-Star) took a shot of Garance with her cellphone, while Garance was shooting her, and I was in the background shooting both of them….is that clear?
The spread, titled Can I Take A Picture? and shot by Schuman, celebrates the “cool, blogger girl.” (Or maybe it just celebrates Garance…)
Either way, we love that bloggers are getting some high fashion attention. Laptops are definitely one of our most carried around accessories and with high end brands like Mulberry coming out with carrying cases for PowerBooks, giving them a place in a Vogue photoshoot seems highly appropriate.
