We first came across Saskia de Brauw on the cover of Carine Roitfeld‘s last issue for Vogue Paris. “Now I found a new girl called Saskia. She has short hair, no one knows her,” she said of the 29-year-old model. Not to doubt Roitfeld’s talent-scouting abilities, but given that de Brauw covers the March issues of both Vogue Paris and Vogue Italia, can the former editrix really take all that credit?
Steven Meisel shot the dynamic Vogue Italia cover, which features de Brauw in a lace Dolce & Gabanna minidress over sparkling culottes (yes, culottes). She also wears a crazy-looking hat and awesome bracelets, and it’s all just really beautiful. We can’t imagine Roitfeld had anything to do with it, because why would she want her March cover model on the cover of a different March Vogue? The world may never know.
