Fashion’s First String Puts on Masks to Save Venice

Voguettes and M’Odettes flocked to the Pierre hotel Friday evening to attend a Dolce & Gabbana-sponsored black-tie event, swan around in custom Philip Treacy and Douglas Little masks, and — let’s not forget — to preserve the artistic heritage of the Floating City.

Guests such as Lauren Santo Domingo, Hamish Bowles, and Giovanna Battaglia dutifully observed the “Enchanted Garden Ball” mandate and affixed blooms to their persons, while Derek Blasberg tipped his vizard to ¡Mucha Lucha! and half of the brothers Brant channeled Tyra “Arts and Crafts” Banks.

Much like college freshmen, fashion <3s a themed party, so peep some pics from last night and compare with the other times the crème de la crop got dressed to the nines and disguised themselves as celebrities with stockings over their heads.
