Tiffany‘s What Makes Love True theme is being helped along by some street style photos taken by none other that Scott Schuman (the man you know as the Sartorialist) and Garance Dore. The couple seem so innately in sync and in love that we felt compelled to ask Schuman at a party Tiffany threw this week, how on earth do you keep your relationship going?
Per Schuman, who worked with Dore on a new campaign (called True Love In Pictures) for the jeweler, the key is finding ways to be really supportive of each other — especially if you work in the same field.
“I’m her biggest supporter,” Schuman. “I challenge her more than anyone and she challenges me more than anyone. I know it would be more fun to say, ‘Oh yeah, we’re competitive!’ and this and that, but she pushes me. She knows what I’m good at. She knows what I could be better at. So she pushes me in a really great way.”
You sort of see that in the video below, a behind the scenes view of what they did to create the images for this campaign. You’ll notice that instead of massive DSLRs, they’re using Instagram. The photo sharing service created a special Tiffany filter that will wash over your lovey-dovey images in the company’s classic shade of blue, and Schuman says it’s just about as good as film.
“Really, if you’re trying to capture a moment, it’s about trying to capture a moment,” he said. “It’s about capturing a moment that will communicate a feeling.”
