Instead of doing the responsible, intellectual thing and starting up a discussion about post modernism like we should, we’re just going to post this video of “Sesame Street’s” Grover imitating this summer’s Old Spice commercials without much comment. Because it’s three kinds of adorable and two brands of awesome that aren’t even for sale yet, and we just can’t argue with that.
It’s a spot-on remake with a lesson attached — the meaning of the word “on.” For example, at the end, Grover ends up sitting on a cow. The clam with two tickets to that thing you love? It clamps onto his nose. Go find a toddler who needs to learn the meaning of this word and watch it with him. It will be the cutest thing you see all day.
Of course, it’s not the first time a celebrity has appeared or been spoofed on the beloved children’s show. Rachel Sklar, of our sister site Mediaite, put together example videos of everyone from Julia Roberts to Neil Patrick Harris getting the Sesame Street treatment.
And, just in case you’d forgotten what the original looked like, well, here it is.
