And the drama surrounding Simon Spurr’s unexpected departure from his eponymous label last week continues.
Now Starworks Group, the publication relations firm that handles Spurr’s sample requests, and Sarvie Nasseri, who handles in-house PR for Spurr, are announcing that they will temporarily stop loaning out samples. Nasseri also told WWD that all PR is on hold for now. However, yesterday it was reported that co-founder Jude Nydes would indeed continue the label sans Spurr.
This doesn’t answer any questions about why the designer left his own label or what will happen next, but it does raise the question about the clothes that are already out on a loan: will magazines still shoot them or will the samples be called back?
