SLiNK, a self-identified plus-size magazine from across the pond that debuted a little over a year ago, just published a very unique cover and inside editorial. It’s all shot in 3D, and comes with a free pair of 3D glasses so those curvy-licious looks jump right off the page. How cool is that?!
As if the 3D thing weren’t enough to convince you that SLiNK is now in the running for the coolest fashion book ever (watch out, Carine!), every shot in the magazine features models that are real-person plus size (not just modeling world size 6 “plus size”), in accordance with a pledge the magazine took to feature only women that are UK size 14 or over. While SLiNK isn’t the only magazine to have ever shot in 3D (careful: link NSFW!), they’re probably the first to do it like this. In fact, the book was founded on the idea that a plus size model can do anything a straight size model can. The cover model, Aussie Bree Warren, is a UK size 14 herself, was styled wearing pieces from ASOS Curve, and looks pretty darn fantastic. We’d like to see Robyn Lawley on the cover next!
We love that this magazine is taking a stand and bringing real high fashion to a group that, by and large, the fashion industry excludes. We love the styling. And obviously, we love that it is in 3D. Conclusion: WE NEED THIS URGENTLY. Check out some of the images from the issue below and tell us, would you pick up a 3D magazine? What do you think of SLiNK?
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
