Are wedding bells and diaper bags in the future for W magazine editor-in-chief Stefano Tonchi? There are reports that not only will he marry his longtime boyfriend David Maupin in a private ceremony this week, but also that the couple is expecting twins through a surrogate this year.
Maupin, an art dealer and co-founder of the Lehmann Maupin galleries in New York, has been with Tonchi for 25 years, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the two really had decided to tie the knot. Page Six reports that the couple will wed in Massachusetts on Friday, with Lisa and Alexander Vreeland on hand as witnesses. (Alexander is legendary Vogue editor Diana Vreeland‘s grandson.)
It’s also reported that Tonchi and Maupin will have a reception some time in the spring. We wonder if Kim Kardashian is invited? If it’s true, more power to them — but if it’s not, we wish the couple, well, another 25 happy years together. Maupin’s people declined to comment, and a W spokesperson told Page Six the magazine doesn’t “comment on employees’ personal lives.”
