StyleDish: Tavi’s Essay Shuts Down Scott Schuman’s Dumb Opinion

Earlier today, Scott Schuman denounced superstar blogger Tavi Gevinson as a pathetic wannabe who “can talk about art and stuff only in an abstract way.” We don’t now if that retort has anything to do with why her essay about the male gaze, a major concept in contemporary art that Gevinson comes into contact with on the daily, is so carefully and poignantly worded, but we can say one thing is certain: Tavi’s opinions are anything but juvenile.
