The fashion industry is often nothing so much as a vicious cycle of designers, editors, and models continuously promoting an unrealistic and dangerous body image. That’s why our ingenious friends at Stylelist have recently started a tip jar to collect $1 every time a person says a negative comment about themselves.
Now, they’ve turned the tables and will actually donate $1 for every positive comment a reader leaves on their inspiring story. The proceeds will go toward Girls Inc., a non-profit organization that empowers young girls. See how you can help Stylelist and HuffPost Style reach their goal of donating $5,000 here.
This is the easiest way to support a great cause — what are are you waiting for?
Here, we’ll go first.
Jada Wong, associate editor: I like my lopsided dimples!
Julia Rubin, managing editor: I like being short and I like my glasses.
Verena von Pfetten, editor in chief: I love my stomach because it’s not a quitter.
Now head on over to StyleList and leave your good thought in the comments!
