First Look: Jimmy Choo’s Tamara Mellon To Revolutionize Heels Again

Since our plan to raid Tamara Mellon’s closet à la The Bling Ring hasn’t exactly come to fruition, we’ve just been waiting around for a confirmation on her rumored lifestyle brand. Now we not only have a confirmation, but a first look at the goods and we’ll be damned if this woman is not revolutionizing the high heel market as we know it.

The Jimmy Choo co-founder will be rolling out her eponymous lifestyle brand in November, and we’re getting everything we’ve ever wanted from the style goddess: shoes, handbags, and ready-to-wear clothing. Mellon is taking aim at women who are just like her, the busy working women who abides by a strict “buy now, wear now” principle. According to The Telegraph, prices are set to range from $295 for a cashmere T-shirt to $4,500 for a ponyskin leopard-print trench coat. The collection is currently being debuted at the Jay-Z-endorsed Pace Gallery, and come fall will be available at tamaramellon.com and in brick and mortar shops at the end of 2014. If things go according to plan for the brand, we can expect to see about 60 shops worldwide within the next five years.

We’ve been scouring Twitter for images of the collection preview, and have stumbled upon a few gems. One of which reveals that Mellon offers the same shoe style in three different heel heights (70, 90 & 110 mm to be exact). Perhaps our shoe addiction isn’t quite as full-blown as we thought, but we’ve never seen anything like it. But then again, we’ve come to expect only the most newfangled concepts from Mellon.

Browse the insider images in the gallery below, and keep your eyes peeled for her modern “Follow Me” go-go boots, as well as the black and leopard print playsuits that are just about as va-va-voom as we’ve ever seen. You might want to come to terms with the havoc that this collection might wreak on your savings.
