Target recently released a shoppable film Falling For You, whose instant shopping concept is the first of its kind. The idea is really cool, answering the perennial question “Oh man, where did they get that? I want it!” But watching a live finale at Target’s party inside Terminal 5 on Wednesday, and finding out that stars like Kristen Bell, Nia Long, and Rose Byrne also experience the same moments as us plebes? Well, that was even cooler.
Bell, who stars in the film alongside Long, has access to the best fashions on the market, and has been nailing it on the red carpet, so what could she possibly want that she doesn’t have already? ”I mean, everything I see on Gossip Girl,” she told us. “Everything! All six seasons!”
The same goes for Long, who gushed about wanting every piece she spots on Gwyneth Paltrow: ”With a Gwyneth Paltrow film, I love her wardrobe. She has a good sense of style. She always wears great coats and her hair is always good.”
But while Bell and Long covet pieces they see on screens big and small, 33-year-old Byrne just loves cool street style. Wearing a mix of high and low pieces from Target and Céline, she told us:
“Oh yeah. I see people on the street who have great outfits, and I’m like ‘Where did they get that?’ I find that very inspiring. When I lived in London, [I'd] see the girls on the streets in amazing hip outfits, and then six months later, it’s on the cover of Vogue. I think it always happens like that.”
After watching a recap of the film on a projector screen inside Terminal 5, we were treated to an aerial live finale. Dancers did their thing in mid-air while drummers hung on the walls. The traditional stage was flipped 90 degrees, giving us a birds’ eye view of a dance interpretation of the film. Check out the stars below, and catch the whole experience here:
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
