Don’t get us wrong — like most girls, we’ve been known to occasionally summon our inner Kate Moss and practice a pose or two in the mirror. Embarrassing, yes. Narcisstic, maybe. But compared to this girl — Tayrn Andreatta, we think our behind-closed (and clothed) doors attempts at modeling are altogether tame.
Andreatta, an aspiring model from Greece — though she describes herself as an Italian of American descent — recently happened upon a copy of Love magazine and after flipping through the fold, thought to herself, “Self, if Kate can do it, why can’t I?” Logically, of course, the next step was to strip down, phone a photographer friend, recreate the stunning black and white snaps and send them out for the world to see. (As they say, if you’ve got it flaunt it.) Love saw them, posted them on their blog, and the rest is history!
“I was enamored with the simplicity of the nudity yet the absolute complexity of the feminine figure and each model’s iconic presence. By this point, I was wishing to be in the magazine also and imagining my own cover for this particular shoot,” she explained of her Love Inspired shoot.
You’ve got to admit, the girl’s got guts. Not only did she bare all, but she chose one heck of an issue, casting herself alongside women who Love editor Katie Grand explained are “generally acknowledged as the most beautiful in the world, all with bodies widely regarded as the most perfect in the world.” In fact we can’t actually think of one sane woman who would put themselves in direct comparison with the likes of Naomi, Kate, Lara Stone, Amber, Natalia or Daria.
Well, there’s nothing like a little full frontal nudity to give that career a kick in the rear. And if things don’t work out with an agency, there’s always Tyra.
