When we first stumbled upon this Canadian television interview with Friday Night Lights star and fellow Canadian Taylor Kitsch, all we could think was, “Noooooooo!” Because as any ardent (and / or true) Kitsch fan knows, his hotness is in his hair. But then we actually watched the interview and heard the trials and tribulations Kitch suffered while trying to make it as a model. Which made us think, “Poor thing. We know exactly how to make it better!” But that’s neither here nor there, because what you want to hear about is how very little Abercrombie & Fitch paid him.
After glossing over the two (count ’em, two) weeks he spent homeless and living on the subway, Kitsch credits his manager for taking a chance on him and putting him to work, well, trying to get him work as an actor and a model.
Taylor: “[I was an] out of work model. Didn’t work. Really didn’t work. I mean, there are a couple things that I did. Made maybe, like, eighty bucks doing that. Which was great.”
Marilyn: “Like Abercrombie & Fitch? You made only eighty bucks doing that?”
Taylor: “Truly… I shouldn’t just sell them out like that.”
Marilyn: “I thought you guys would make a lot more money.”
Taylor: “We don’t.”
