The Olsens Cast a 65-Year-Old Model in The Row’s Pre-Fall Lookbook

With the exception of a few ludicrously expensive patchwork fur backpacks, The Row has always been about simplicity and timeless elegance. Nothing demonstrates this more than the lookbook for their Pre-Fall 2014 collection, which features models who range from an unconventional 39 to 65 years old.

Ursula Wallis, Esther de Jong and silver lady fox Linda Rodin of Olio Lusso face oil fame are all featured in the twins’ new lookbook, wearing an even more refined range of clothing than we’re used to seeing from the understated brand. Menswear fabrics and luxe knits are mixed with classic statement pieces like a cocoony black cape. If that doesn’t convince you to get some sort of retirement fund in order, we don’t know what will.

In all seriousness, the progressive casting choice shows they’re well in tune with their client base, the median age of which has earned the 27-year-old designers a weird mix of praise and mockery in recent years. Olsen twins: 1, Haters: 0. Olio Lusso face oil? Priceless.
