The ‘Ronsonrita’ Proves We’ve Officially Reached the Dead End of Pizza Fashion

Designer Charlotte Ronson has announced with great ceremony that she has created the most fashionable pizza experience – her limited edition Margherita pie – the Ronsonerita.

Quick overview of the latest pizza fashion post-Jeremy Scott olive and pepperoni blanket dress: Cara Delevingne and Katy Perry have recently showed you just how chill it is to wear pizza, causing quite the media stir. We already know fashion has a longtime love affair with greasy food, but now we’ve arrived at the dead end, demonstrating just how ridiculous this is.

On every one of these Ristorante Asellina pizza boxes at the Ganesvoort Park Avenue, there will be an illustration from one of the prints from Ronson’s new Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Charlotte Ronson’s flowery layered jersey knits could never rebrand pizza. But some genius felt that a fashion-friendly version of pizza could lure the sugar-free Red Bull-addicted fashion crowd to trays of cheesy carbs.

It’s possible that among the herds, there will be people longing to find release from non-stop thinspo and dresses with cutouts by face-planting into a cheesy round for the sake of fashion. These rare customers will tell other designers that their free gift bag of party stationary is no match for Charlotte’s basil-draped pie. But you know who mixes pizza and clothes? Kids on Halloween. This is getting embarrassing, and we’re calling #YouDidNotEatThat on the whole thing.
