Russian designer Tigran Avetisyan has designed the Underwear Selfie Set exclusively for SHOWSTUDIO. It’s only $428 for this duo of sweatpants. There are two blurry bands. One is black and one’s white. The slogan on both piece reads “US AND THEM” backwards for mirror moment capturing ease. You can see the seams, as you only can with the finest in athletic undies.
Anyone with a smartphone can take a selfie, but it’s not exactly democratic if you don’t have the matching selfie underwear set. They look comfy, but this shit is steep for not being signed by an artist or made from magic legumes. That’s because the idea is that you’ll create your own free art with the grey duo by this recent Central Saint Martins grad. It’s not a phenomenon to put selfie in a style name, but it’s a strange occurrence when a fashion designer broadcasts the purpose of our underthings. We can’t help but feel a little weirded out that it’s an acceptable form of self-expression to buy stuff for your own self-obsessed social media campaign. There’s a limited supply, and plenty of homes for these bad boys. Anyway, you’re getting two articles of clothing for $428, so you do the math.
