Back in January we reported on Hermès suing Thursday Friday over its Birkin-printed totes. (And then we promptly bought one in blue.) Now Thursday Friday is the one filing a counterfeit suit.
Yes, someone has knocked off the brand’s knockoffs. The irony! According to WWD:
Called the Together Bag, Thursday Friday’s tote, which retailed for $65, had become a bestseller since its launch last December. But after the company agreed to stop selling the bag, fakes began popping up all over the Internet, the bulk of which came from Asia, and selling for as much as $400. The object of Thursday Friday’s ire is an India-based eBay vendor who is selling a trio of bags dubbed Together Tote Bags for $39.99.
This apparently infringes on the Together Bag trademark, which we guess doesn’t infringe on any sort of Hermès trademark? CONFUSING. Anyway, Thursday Friday found the bags eBay UK, who they promptly emailed about the situation. eBay said they would work with the brand on the problem.
By the way, the Hermès case was settled in June. Thursday Friday has since began churning out Miu Miu
