Cindy Crawford has some of the most widely-acclaimed publications under her belt. There’s Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, and of course, the DeKalb Nite Weekly. You may think the latter doesn’t stack up to the rest, but considering it’s what gave the supermodel her big break, we think it’s time to show the weekly some love — and Cindy does, too.
In honor of #ThrowbackThursday, Crawford posted her first cover ever yesterday and tweeted: “My very first ‘cover’ during high school in DeKalb, shot in my highschool boyfriend’s backyard… Believe me when I say I had absolutely no idea where that photo would lead to!”
While we love so many things about this photo, our favorite part is the line at the top that says, “Save this valuable issue!” because you know that there are some DeKalbians who are seriously kicking themselves for not following instruction and cashing in on their hometown hero.
