Alert all Twihards and/or lovers of bridal fashion! We now know who will be designing the second most-anticipated wedding dress of the year! Carolina Herrera has been tapped to create Bella Swan‘s gown for the last installment of the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn.
While the movie is being split into two, the wedding scene will be in the first part, which is being released in November. Zac Posen was initially rumored to be designing the dress — alas, he was just one of the many designers who provided sketches of theoretical almost-vampire bridal frocks. And after all that speculation, the Twilight peeps confirmed Herrera’s involvement via their official Twitter account last night.
But what will the dress look like?! In the book, Bella’s dress is described as being fairly old school, which was reflected in the Stephenie Meyer‘s illustrated guide to the trilogy. In the recently released trailer, all we can see is Kristen Stewart wearing a veil pinned to her head with a really pretty crystal-encrusted comb. Sigh. But, ideas, we have them! Check out photos from Herrera’s past bridal collections (as well as the trailer) below. Oh, and we have a picture of Bella and Edward‘s wedding invitation. (Yeah, we’re excited about this movie.)
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
