The day has come. Tyra Banks has finally returned to IMG. It seems that, as of recent, Tyra has been actively trying to be taken more seriously than in the past in the fashion world. She’s in the final season of her talk show (a good decision if you ask us) and has partnered with Vogue Italia for America’s Next Top Model‘s next cycle.
In an IMG press release, Banks announced her decision to resign with the fashion powerhouse.
“In many ways, this is like coming home. The last time I was with IMG, I was set on taking on the modeling world in the high fashion and commercial sectors. Now I’m dreaming even bigger but this time for my company as well. Aligning myself with brands that I believe in, and helping them achieve the kind of success they’re looking for, helps all of us as we grow our businesses. And I know IMG is the right place at the perfect time.”
Gone are the days of weaves and bright colored eye shadows. This time, Tyra is opting for a more natural look — a look that exemplifies exactly what she tells contestants on ANTM to strive for. This time, she’s doing it right.
Tyra claims she won’t be going on any go-sees — “To set the record straight, I’m not coming out of modeling retirement, she said. “IMG is such a huge company, there are many things I will be doing with them.”
Well we hope Tyra does dabble in a bit more modeling. She’s looking “fierce” in her latest Polaroids.
