When you’re a brand that’s known for brouhaha-causing campaign images (the pope kissing an imam, anybody?), it can make just as big an impact to go with regular, garden-variety mannequins and musicians.
For Fall-Winter 2013, United Colors of Benetton skipped the lip-locked world leaders and invited Sky Ferreira, Theophilus London, Lily McMenamy, Chloe Nørgaard, Soo Joo Park and Louis Simonon to pose, shadowbox and head-bang against a neon graffiti-ed backdrop.
Of course, we’re partial to Chloe Nørgaard’s layered pastel knits — mostly because they match her much-obsessed-over technicolor tresses — but the plaid pants on Kristen McMenamy‘s pillow-lipped progeny and Theophilus London’s tartan kilt ain’t half bad. And neither is Louis Simonon’s remarkably defined jawline.
See the awkward dancing, the clothes and the beautiful people right here:
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
