It’s true: Phone batteries are getting progressively shittier as the years go by. You know something else? Tinder Addiction is REAL, and you shouldn’t have to stop sending your friends photos of weird dudes at their own weddings just because a phone charger won’t fit into a handbag that’s already crammed with $2,000 of technological innovation. Luckily nobody knows this pain like eBay and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) — or at least they’re hip to your qualms, because they’ve come up with a range of bracelets that double as USB smartphone chargers.
And guess what else? They don’t suck! They actually remind us of ’90s slap bracelets, except with a live-saving nubbin of metal on the end. The latest designers attempting wearable tech include Rachel Zoe, Mara Hoffman, Michael Bastian, Shipley & Halmos and Milly, who have each created a limited edition print for the bracelets. We’re particularly into Hoffman’s tiger design.
The bracelets cost $25 on eBay and all proceeds go to the CFDA. Has there ever been a better excuse to get lost in a Valencia-tinted hashtag matrix?
