PHOTOS: Vogue Australia Features $7,700 Suit In Tribal Photo Shoot

Vogue Australia’s December issue takes actress Isabel Lucas to the Kalahari Desert, in the hopes of giving her “a moment to reflect”. To which we can’t help but ask: reflect on what? The gross absurdity that is wearing a $7,700 suit* for a photoshoot with the desert’s indigenous Bushmen tribe, thousands of which have been relocated by the Botswana government to “resettlement camps” in order to free up access to diamonds discovered under their ancestral lands?

No? Oh, our bad. Look at all the pretty clothing, though!

*The credits are really hard to read, but the suit in question is from Louis Vuitton’s 2012 Resort collection. The jacket retails for $5,000 and the skirt for $2,700.
