Vogue Italia Shoot Brings Out The Subway Geek Within

You probably know that we love fashion, but did you know that we love subways? BECAUSE WE LOVE SUBWAYS. And now Vogue Italia has melded the two!

Steven Meisel shot Raquel Zimmermann for a subterranean cover story that we are fully geeking out over. Why? Because Vogue Italia actually used old school New York subway trains for the shoot! We’re pretty sure the train in question is the R11, which was made in 1949 and was intended as a prototype for the still-not-built-in-2011 Second Avenue line. (We really are huge subway nerds. We assume you believe us now.)
