Not only is Vogue Paris considered one of the most influential fashion magazines in the world, it’s also made a name for itself with original, inspiring, and occasionally controversial photography. But instead of featuring a big-named photographer and a high-concept shoot for its annual calendar, the 2013 edition is just full of repeat images.
The calendar is a supplement to the mag’s December/January holiday issue which, this year, features ’90s supermodels Carla Bruni on the cover and Christy Turlington inside. But while checking out this year’s lineup and reminiscing about last year’s notably missing edition, we noticed that the pics were very familiar. Sasha Pivovarova‘s shocking blonde hair made for a memorable cover last year, and we still have a copy of the April 2006 issue in which Daria Werbowy seduces us in her wet tee. So, who are you trying to kid, French Vogue?
Only the first half of the calendar has been released, but we’ve gone through all the work of locating each issue that the original image came from. Check out the pics below, and stay tuned for the second half as soon as we have it. What do you think of this recycled version? Nostalgic? Or monotonous?
this is some kind of spaceship or something.
